What We Drive

2009 Safari Cheetah

We purchased our 2009 Safari Cheetah from Motorhome Specialist in August 2012.  We had our eye on this specific motorhome for some time, nearly 2 months, and had begun to fear it would be sold by the time we made it over to the dealership.  Luckily, it was still there and they actually had the same motorhome with a different layout and color scheme that we could browse through as well, but we stuck to this one.  This was the first motorhome we had actually dreamed about owning, and couldn't believe that we would be purchasing it.

One of the specs that drew us to this specific motorhome, is the engine.  It has a Cat C9, 425 HP engine and towing capacity of 10,000 lbs.  It has 4 slide-outs (2 in front, 2 in back), which give us an unbelievable amount of space and make living in this beast more comfortable than thought possible.  It also harbors 1 1/2 bathrooms, a washer/dryer, full size fridge, 3 ACs with heat pumps, real wood cabinets and trim, and InMotion Tracking Satellite.

This motorhome has been extremely comfortable to travel in, and is quite an upgrade from our previous gasoline powered motorhome. We look forward to keeping this one for many years.

2013 Jeep Wrangler

The Jeep was purchased in October 2012 from a dealership in Ft. Worth, TX.  It was purchased for its ease of towing 4 down behind the motorhome and its capabilities off road. Soon after we bought the Jeep we installed a Blue Ox baseplate, towbar, and wiring and made it ready to tow behind the motorhome.  As of right now we have owned the Jeep for about 6 months and it has been on three wheels off-roading more often than we can count.
