Little Big Town(s)

Ouray RV Park & Cabins was our campground during the entire 4 days while we explored the surrounding area. It is a great place to stay nestled in the mountains with very nicely furnished cabins right next to the stream that runs the length of the park and large sites for all types of RVs.

We had visited Telluride and Silverton, CO mostly because that is where the 4x4 trails end. Telluride is fairly ritzy with lots of shops and restaurants due to catering to the snow skiing crowd in the winter and hikers/4x4 drivers/bicyclers during spring, summer, and fall. They offer a gondola ride for free that goes up to Mountain Village with more shops and restaurants. It rained on us the whole time we were in the town, and I must say that it was a welcome site to see and experience!

Silverton is a unique town with an old steam train that runs from Durango to Silverton, CO and lots of "old west" shops and fun stuff for children to participate in. We had some family and friends that go on the train nearly every year they are in the area.
